shimmering summit of the so-so

computer troubles and general distractedness have been keeping from updating but no worries, I've got bucketloads of assorted nonsense lying around waiting to be posted.

i am friends with 12,000 semi-carcinogenic vampire salmon. I brush my teeth with gasoline. I polish the doorknobs with fish slime on winter evenings. I can induce vomiting fits in cows. i invented latex and first used it to gag muskrats. I fill my pockets with lead marbles to keep the room quiet. I bred a cactus with 49 muscles. i drank Greek coffee with the man from the TV show. His was poisoned. I didn't tell him.

oh. ew. today in ad. design THE BANTER, the senselessness. i just can't feel compassion for these war-game addicts anymore. we're losing life on both sides, losing limbs, losing minds, and now we're expected to fall all over ourselves in shame and pity over a few naked iraqi boys in compromising positions? please. if we're going to talk about dignity let's talk about women's rights to property and education in iraq and afghanistan, or manipulating a mourning nation into a war motivated by greed. ask a bush about indignity and prepare yourself for a series of photos featuring blurred-out male genitalia - here's the horrendous war crime. not loss of life, not loss of limb, not loss of home, or loss of honesty, and certainly not rape. ask an iraqi woman about indignity, about compromising situations, she knows something about violation and she knows it first-hand and it goes far deeper than humiliation.
i can hardly give a damn for an american soldier or an iraqi insurgent anymore, they're just two players in the same game of pollution. let them staple electrical wires to each other's privates all to their heart's content, or as content as a heart surging with electricity can be- but don't tell me about the indignity of it all, the humiliation of the war crime.
or just don't talk to me about war

i really want to pursue archival science as a career. i plan to go to simmons college and go for a dual-degree program for history and archival science. i think it all depends on the shcool for how you go about it.

Miss... I can't sleep. I'm sad. I miss you. When can we run away? Really. I need to get out of here.
